About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical nutrition, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement nutrition care plans, provide education and counseling to patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on nutrition and health
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field
  • Dietetic Internship Program completion
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
  • Strong clinical nutrition skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
