Laboratory Technician – Environmental Pre-processing
Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing general support in the pre-processing of samples and performing certain analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general lab support, including sorting and distributing samples, pre-processing samples, weighing, and analysis.
- Ensure cross-contamination and labeling between samples and other materials do not occur.
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
- Prioritize jobs according to client-specific deadlines.
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Keep work areas clean, neat, and organized.
- Provide support to other members of the section.
- Retrieve samples required for reworks or customer requests.
Requirements:
- College Diploma.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive outlook with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking, and priority setting skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with record-keeping skills.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
