Pharmacy Assistant - Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in a non-retail pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking, counting, and packaging patient-specific medications for pharmacists or pharmacy technicians to verify
  • Communicating with pharmacy staff members to support patient service
  • Preparing and printing shipping waybills to ensure accurate order and shipment information
  • Filling prescriptions in an office-style pharmacy environment
  • Entering prescription or patient information into Kroll software and other duties relevant to the dispensing of patient medications
Requirements:
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in any pharmacy setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot and fix errors
  • Fast learner, comfortable with on-the-job training
  • Great communication skills and an appreciation of patient safety, communication, and care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a large team
  • Comfortable walking and being on your feet for much of the day
