About the Role

Cementation Canada is seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our underground development team, you will be responsible for analyzing drawings, designs, and specifications to prepare and maintain project management documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze drawings, designs, and specifications to prepare schedules, cost estimates, and project management reports.
  • Schedule critical path activities for projects and modify schedules and work plans as needed.
  • Provide risk management and value engineering expertise in the development of mine plans.
  • Implement and lead Cementation's Continuous Improvement processes, including data capture, performance analysis, and lean meetings.
  • Provide expert technical assistance during the execution of mining works and ensure that project close-out documentation meets regulatory and client requirements.
  • Serve the customer by identifying needs and working to solve problems and issues.
  • Oversee assigned aspects of designated projects and project controls.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to gauge project efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree from a recognized university or diploma from a college program relevant to the areas of responsibility.
  • Working towards becoming a registered Professional Engineer.
  • 3-5 years of experience preferably in an underground environment.
  • Experience in underground development, construction, and shaft sinking, with experience analyzing performances and cycles.
  • All certification required to represent Cementation in a safe and knowledgeable manner in the workplace.
