As a Senior 3D Animator, you'll work closely with the Animation Director and designer team to set the benchmark quality animation to guide and inspire the rest of team. Your work will cover a wide variety of character types within the gameplay space: humanoid characters, quadruped enemies, mechanized suits just to name a few.

In this role you will :
  • Effectively applies animation principles to create high-quality animations;
  • Understands game design intention and can list required animations for simple behaviour;
  • Adapt your work to create new animations based on existing brands;
  • Edit your animations within a game engine.
What we're looking for :
  • Diploma in a 2D/3D animation program;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the video game industry;
  • Experience in making animations for a video game;
  • Portfolio and resume demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of animation;
  • Good knowledge of human anatomy;
  • Expertise in Maya or other equivalent 3D software;
  • Must have a great sense of observation and a good knowledge of a video game production;
  • Passion for animation and video games;
  • Capacity to work in a team;
  • A portfolio is mandatory with your application;
  • Being bi-lingual in French and English is mandatory for this role as you might need to interact with english speaking partners externally, but also be able to access, read and produce documentation in English as well;
Dans ce rôle vous devrez :
  • Appliquer de façon efficace les principes de base de l'animation afin de créer un produit de haute qualité ;
  • Comprendre les intentions du design de jeu et pouvoir créer les listes d'animations requises pour des personnages simples ;
  • Pouvoir adapter votre style à des produits connus ;
  • Effectuer le « skinning » et le « rigging » de personnages et autres éléments de jeu ;
  • Éditer ces animations dans le moteur de jeu.
Ce que nous recherchons :
  • Diplôme d'étude en animation 2D ou 3D ;
  • Minimum de 5 années d'expérience dans l'industrie du jeu ;
  • Expérience dans la production d'animation « in game »;
  • Portfolio démontrant une bonne connaissance des principes de l'animation ;
  • Bonne connaissance de l'anatomie humaine ;
  • Connaissance de Maya ou autre logiciel d'animation 3D ;
  • Sens de l'observation et bonne connaissance de la production d'un jeu vidéo;
  • Votre portfolio est requis lors l'application;
  • Être bilingue Français et Anglais est obligatoire pour ce rôle sachant que vous seriez amené à communiquer en anglais à des partenaires externes mais également accéder, lire et produire de la documentation dans cette langue;

En tant qu'animateur 3D senior, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le directeur d'animation et l'équipe de concepteurs afin d'établir la référence en matière d'animation de qualité pour guider et inspirer le reste de l'équipe. Votre travail couvrira une grande variété de types de personnages dans l'espace de jeu : personnages humanoïdes, ennemis quadrupèdes, combinaisons mécanisées, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns.
