Seeking a Director, Mobile Assets to manage fleet operational activities, provide leadership, and direction for Ocean Capital's fleet, including equipment specification, relationship management, and lifecycle management.

The Director, Mobile Assets is responsible for overseeing fleet maintenance departments, leading strategic processes, and optimizing equipment lifecycle. The role requires effective training and development of the team, creating and maintaining internal and external relationships, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs). The Director will also investigate downtime issues, create and maintain preventative maintenance plans, and implement proactive maintenance programs to increase equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of fleet maintenance departments, including effective training and development of the team
  • Lead the strategic process to spec, order, and deliver fleet assets, in alignment with business needs
  • Optimize equipment lifecycle for fleet assets
  • Implement preventative maintenance plans and proactive maintenance programs to increase equipment availability
  • Investigate downtime issues and warranty claims relating to equipment failures
  • Create and maintain internal and external relationships with business leadership and key suppliers
  • Manage quarterly and annual KPIs
  • Additional duties as assigned

Technical Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • 10+ years' operational experience in managing light fleet and heavy equipment
  • 5+ years' experience managing a team
  • Experience in fleet optimization
  • Knowledge of fleet industry best practices
  • Proficient in producing management presentations
