Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Chico's FAS, Inc. - Retail. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer-focused sales culture, where our values and guiding principles are at the forefront of all store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Culture:
    • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business, and execute in-store business and sales strategies in partnership with the Store Manager.
    • Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding the store team and yourself accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
    • Control payroll and supply budget.
  • Building High Performing Teams:
    • Motivate and inspire the store team, developing a shared vision while modeling core values.
    • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
    • Communicate with store teams and the Store Manager to effectively lead positive change.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Model, teach, and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
    • Model sales expectations by utilizing various techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer.
    • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
  • Talent:
    • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
    • Support, implement, and provide follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.
    • Assess and coach store team on performance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
  • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Able to communicate with customers and staff.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant Walking/Standing % of 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs. - 1-33% of 8-hour shift.
  • Frequent Climbing - 34%-66% of 8-hour shift.

Wage Range: $24.00 to $30.00. Successful candidates' wage rates will be determined based on their individual qualifications for the position.
