Actuarial Co-Op/Internship Program

The RGA Reinsurance Company's Co-Op/Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain a wide knowledge of the insurance industry and network with fellow interns and full-time associates. Our welcoming environment encourages students to ask questions, contribute their ideas, and expand their technical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct experience studies, including preparation of experience analysis reports, to support business growth and development.
- Prepare and analyze premium reset exercises using Excel and GGY AXIS, to ensure accurate and efficient financial management.
- Monitor and report on risk limits, to maintain a high level of risk management and control.
- Develop analysis tools to support inforce management activities, to optimize business performance and efficiency.
- Run actuarial models in Excel and/or Prophet, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Currently enrolled at the University level and pursuing a Bachelor of Mathematics, with a major in Actuarial Science, to ensure a strong foundation in mathematical and statistical principles.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of actuarial concepts at a level commensurate with applicant's educational experience, to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint), to efficiently manage and analyze data.
- Experience using GGY AXIS and/or Prophet, to leverage advanced data analysis and modeling capabilities.
- Programming experience in VBA, to develop custom solutions and automate tasks.
- Passed at least one SOA exam, to demonstrate a high level of actuarial knowledge and expertise.
