Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that our meat and seafood products are properly stocked and displayed, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Zoning the department to ensure efficient stock rotation and product placement.
  2. Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
  3. Ensuring that merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  4. Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  5. Providing excellent customer service by taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance.
  6. Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  7. Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and other products.
  8. Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
