The role is part of the application delivery and support team that supports the CDS Business Unit

Guided by the Application Delivery Manager, the Application Support Analyst (ASA) assumes various responsibilities. These responsibilities encompass the migration of legacy applications towards standardized enterprise technologies.

The ASA collaborates closely with business analysts and operational teams to either develop new products or enhance existing ones, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.

Additionally, the successful deployment of products to the production environment falls under the purview of the ASA. Furthermore, the ASA is accountable for the provision of ongoing production support and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent program or experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in web applications development and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet with stakeholders, complete any necessary research and drive deliverables, with minimal supervision
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining business systems in cloud or on-premise,
  • Understanding of systems, business, data, and technical architecture disciplines, including key methodologies and approaches such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM), and high-availability/high-performance systems design.
  • Experience and capability in translating non-technical user requests into complex technical specifications and solutions that meet business needs.
  • Proven experience with:
  • Legacy (Mainframe) and distributed platforms (Web Technologies)
  • Middleware (MQ Series / webMethods)
  • Relational Databases (DB2 and Sybase)
  • SWIFT and ISO messaging standards

Nice to Have(s):

  • Previous experience in Financial Services and/or Capital Markets Industry
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Tools related to requirements, test management
