Job Summary: Temporary General Labourers are required to assist with potato storage and handling at a facility in Grand Falls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Handle materials up to 25 kg.
  • Assist with cleaning and preparation of storage buildings and equipment.
  • Assist with the timely process of storing potatoes.
  • Sort and rack potatoes.
  • Remove foreign material.
  • Place culverts in potato storages for ventilation.
  • Direct farm trucks for unloading.
  • Clean work areas.
  • Assist with light maintenance on equipment and storage buildings.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Critical Control Points (CCP's).
  • Work safely and follow Job Hazard Analyses (JHA's).
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work well with storage supervision and employees.
  • Team player with excellent attendance.
  • Demonstrate continuous initiatives and involvement.
  • Highly motivated, observant, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good safety record and commitment to "safety first" practices.
