Metallurgist Superintendent Job Description

Seeking a Metallurgist Superintendent to lead the Concentrator Team in Thompson, MB, providing leadership and guidance to improve processes and ensure operational efficiency.

About the Role
  • Provide leadership to continuously improve Concentrator processes
  • Collaborate with various departments and external resources to ensure needs are met
  • Actively seek new process technologies for the Concentrator
  • Lead the generation of production and metallurgical reports
  • Monitor metallurgical process parameters and take corrective action
  • Participate in short and long-range planning and provide input to Managers' plans
  • Prepare, write, and present scopes of work and business cases for capital & R&D requests
About You
  • Engineering degree in a Metallurgical, Chemical or Mineral Processing field is required
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong process knowledge
  • Highly motivated and can self-direct to accomplish goals with minimum supervision
