Sonora Resort, a luxury all-inclusive Relais & Chateaux Resort, is seeking an experienced Assistant Staff Cook to join our world-class team in the unspoiled wilderness of British Columbia.

Job Summary

The Assistant Staff Cook is responsible for assisting with cooking and providing 70-90 staff meals a day. When the Head Staff Cook is away, they oversee running the Staff Kitchen brigade and ordering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cooking and preparing scratch-made lunches and dinners daily, including vegetarian options and special dietary needs.
  • Provide snacks and sandwich bars for staff to eat in between meal times.
  • Assist the Head Staff Cook with scheduling, ordering, and receiving products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure effective working relationships and clear communication with all colleagues and departments.
Requirements
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Fluent in English, second language an asset.
  • First Aid certificates an asset.
  • Current Foodsafe Certificate.
  • Culinary Arts Levels 1, 2, or 3.
  • Three years of cooking experience, experience in a live-in resort preferred.
