As a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality of our meat and seafood products. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the meat department, rotating stock, and adhering to food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Zones the department to ensure a clean and organized environment
- Rotates stock to ensure freshness and quality
- Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
- Takes orders for deli department merchandise and prepares requested assistance
- Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizes slicers, stackers, and other utensils
- Follows Health and Safety guidelines
