What You Do.

The Kitchen Steward is the heartbeat (cannot serve food without sparkling plates) of the hotel's culinary team.

The primary duty of the Kitchen Steward is to ensure memorable dining experiences by helping the culinary team reach its commitment to a safe, clean and efficient operation. Your responsibilities would include care, cleaning and inspection of flatware, tableware, kitchen equipment and kitchen areas to a superior standard.

The steward needs to work well under pressure, is organized, flexible and self-motivated. The steward is responsible to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your co-workers by upholding the safety rules and ensure that all equipment in the kitchen is clean and in good working condition before use.

Duties include:

Consistently a teammate
Ensure plates, cups, glasses, silverware, pots & all cooking utensils are cleaned using the appropriate machinery
Remove garbage and compost from kitchen
Supply equipment requirements for kitchen and outlets
You bring:Excellent organizational skills
Highly responsible & reliable
Stewarding is physical by nature and requires the applicant to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Repetitive motion and movements are essential functions of this position.
Must be able to work in pressure environment
