The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting designated materials between plants, adhering to scheduling, purchasing, and shipping instructions. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Transport raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods between plants
- Inspect material handling equipment, tractor trailers, and truck trailers in accordance with ministry guidelines
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met within areas of responsibility
- Facilitate material movement to Coatings suppliers and pickup material as scheduled from various suppliers
- Manage E-Log requirements as mandated by the Ontario government
- Appropriate licensing to cover the designated truck class with a clean driving record
- Strong driving record as noted by the Ministry of Transportation
- Good oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
