About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional and physical support to residents, including those with dementia and other complex needs
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to the unit nurse
  • Participate in the development and review of care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met
  • Perform assigned clerical duties, including answering telephones and responding to resident inquiries

Requirements:

  • Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
  • One year previous experience as a Health Care Aide preferred
  • Experience in personal care home setting preferred
  • Physical and mental health to meet the requirements of the position
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluent English
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
