Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, the Shunter drives the shunt truck, attached trailers, and moves trailers around the yard, to and from loading docks as needed.


The Details:
This is a Full-time position that will start ASAP. Standard work week is 40 hours with the potential for overtime during our peak seasons.

Wage:
$30.70

Premiums:
Yes, Weekend & Overnight

Schedule:
As required - Business operates: Monday - Saturday,
Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30PM,
Afternoon Shift: 2:00PM - 10:30PM,
Night Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM
Hours: 40 hours per week, with the potential for Overtime.

Responsibilities

Drive shunt truck and attach trailers.
Connect shunt truck to trailer, drive trailer to bay followed by trailer detachment.
Connect/Disconnect air lines, maneuver jack stands and power chocks into position, and engage trailer dolly via crank.

Qualifications

Minimum requirement:
Valid Class 5 License - With Q endorsement (Air Brakes).
Class 1 License with Q endorsement (Air Brakes) preferred.
1-3 years of Shunting experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical requirements include frequent sitting, walking, and standing.
Ability to work in hot or cold temperature.
