Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team at Yellowknife Co-Op. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products for sale, ensuring high-quality standards and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meat products for cutting and wrapping
  • Cut and trim meat to customer specifications
  • Wrap and package meat products for sale
  • Remove bones and trim excess fat from meat
  • Weigh and price meat products for sale
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a meat cutting or related role
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
