**Senior Technician Alarm - Security** **Job Summary:** Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to review and implement installation blueprints, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.

As a Senior Technician Alarm - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will work collaboratively to review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction. You will be expected to represent Paladin in a professional manner in line with our values of a leadership mindset, people development, team, and client-focused. Although based in Ottawa, you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region.

**Responsibilities:** * Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms * Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance * Preparing and executing Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract, client, and future service needs * Assisting in system design and layout * Providing customer training for proper system usage and responding to technical inquiries * Building relationships with clients and prospects for future opportunities * Performing administrative duties, including project updates to Project Managers and completing and filing all project documentation * Mentoring, coaching, and training of other technicians * Leading Technician crews and supporting junior team members * Being available for on-call duties before or after regular hours and working night shifts when needed **Success Factors:** * Adaptability: Quickly adapting to deliver on desired outcomes for clients * Accountability: Owning work from start to finish * Service Orientation: Striving to exceed customer expectations * Innovation: Continuously looking for new ways to add value * Technical knowledge: Constantly building skill sets and demonstrating abilities **Qualifications:** * Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry * Knowledge of alarm systems (Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Hanwha, Senstar, Bosch, DSC, DMP, Honeywell) * Understanding of alarm installation requirements (commercial, industrial), along with monitoring * Ability to properly read alarm blueprints, submittals, and operation/product manuals * Understanding of ULC standards and codes * TQ licensed * Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent considered an asset * Vendor Certification in low-voltage systems preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Previous experience leading installations at the site level preferred * Programming experience preferred * Valid Driver's License with clean abstract * Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry * Ability to lift 50lbs consistently * Capable of prolonged standing/walking * Able to work independently * Strong interpersonal skills **About Paladin Technologies:** Paladin Technologies is a premier North American complex systems integrator for building technology solutions, including IP security, alarms & monitoring, audio visual, low-voltage infrastructure, and networking.
