What is the opportunity?

Are you eager about working as a Quality Engineering or Automation Student at RBC for a 1-Year period? This opening considers you for various roles in RBC Technology & Operations.

Roles you might land:

  • Quality Engineer
  • Automation Analyst

This opportunity is only for those who can commit to a 12-month co-op term.

What will you do?

  • Assist in creating automated test plans & solutions to meet clients' automation needs and enhance process controls & governance.
  • Develop, update, and execute QA testing plans.
  • Support internal programming testing tools.
  • Provide accurate testing status reports.
  • Maintain test results documentation.
  • Assist in testing environment upgrades.
  • Automate reporting processes using tools like Blue Prism, VBA, and SQL.
  • Apply data warehouse concepts to projects.
  • Ensure projects follow development standards and guidelines.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution focusing on computer science, technology, or engineering.
  • Leadership skills with a passion for applying them in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, creative, and analytical thinker.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and apply them.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of QA methods, testing approaches, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Experience in SQL and/or VBA.
  • Knowledge of design, development, and implementation using current analytics technologies and data warehouse concepts.

Nice-to-have

  • Expertise in Automation (e.g., Blue Prism) and BI Tools (e.g., Tableau, Elastic).
  • Prior experience in data integration of different sources.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and design.
