Facility Assistant II Role

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Facility Assistant II in our Glencoe, Ontario facility.

About the Role

As a Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out various duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, as well as the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
  • Collect, test, and record grain samples
  • Exercise competency in grading commodities
  • Operate machinery with confidence and precision
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately blend fertilizer
  • Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
  • Perform exceptional customer service duties
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a general labor job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work within an environment subject to dust and allergens
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Knowledge of hydraulic machinery and electrical considered an asset
