Temporary Manager, Provincial Operations

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Temporary Manager, Provincial Operations to join our team at BC Emergency Health Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our programs and services across the province.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Coordinate and lead crisis management efforts from an operational perspective during critical incidents or disasters
* Ensure prompt actions are taken in response to emergent issues affecting BCEHS operations
* Continuously monitor the performance and efficiency of BCEHS operations at the provincial level
* Analyze data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential issues in service delivery
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and monitor their impact
* Prepare and present regular reports to stakeholders on the state of operations, performance metrics, mitigative actions, and ongoing improvement initiatives

**What You'll Bring**

* A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Health, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline
* Current PCP license through EMA licensing board
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data analysis tools and methodologies to make data-driven decisions
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with other senior level emergency service provider officials, healthcare partners, and the private sector
* Ability to engage and develop relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to improve service
* Knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts, supported by significant knowledge of Canadian and Indigenous ideologies, including knowledge, and understanding of Indigenous cultural safety, cultural humility, Indigenous-specific racism and anti-racism

**Indigenous Cultural Safety and Diversity**

* Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.)
* Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act
* Ability to support team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level
