One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada's Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area.


Our client is looking for a Security Specialist who will be creating, developing, implementing and maintaining site security of this facility.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a security plan focusing on access control, perimeter security, surveillance systems and response protocols.
  • Support in creating and regularly updating security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security drills on a regular basis with the security team.
  • Ensure all the employees are aware of the security policies.
  • Implement physical security measures such as perimeter protection, access control, etc.
  • Oversee the installation, operation, administration and maintenance of security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, etc.
  • Cooperate with other departments and local authorities for smooth operation of security processes.
  • Conduct regular risk assessment to identify potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Manage contractors and coordinate to establish clear rules for various processes specifically related to physical access at the facility.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in the similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Deep understanding of security systems, technologies, and industry best practice.
  • Relevant security program certifications (such as CPP, RSP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problemsolving skills
