Job Summary
Security Guard position available at CNC Campus in Prince George, BC, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the campus and its occupants.

Job Description
The Security Guard will work under the direction of Management and the Security Supervisor to maintain a safe and secure environment on campus. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to establish and maintain security controls
• Locking doors, windows, and gates at required times
• Providing assistance to staff, students, and the public
• Engaging with individuals who are not seeking College services in a way that ensures personal safety
• Providing first aid as required
• Maintaining records and logs of safety and security incidents
• Monitoring alarms and responding to emergencies
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must:

• Hold a valid British Columbia security license
• Possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in commercial or institutional security and/or public relations
• Hold a valid Level 2 Occupational First Aid Ticket
• Possess a valid minimum class 7 novice (N) driver's licence
• Maintain a clear criminal record and report any infractions
• Be bondable
• Possess good communication and public relations skills
• Have a working knowledge of computers (email, MS Office, etc.)
• Be physically able to complete the job

Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

• High School completion plus additional advanced courses
• Completion of Basic Security Training Certificate
• Good communication and public relations skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to complete the job

Working Conditions
The Security Guard will work a regular full-time schedule with shiftwork required. The successful candidate will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners.
