Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in automation architecture, particularly in UiPath and UFT (formerly known as QTP).

As an Automation Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to support testing efforts across various projects.


Responsibilities:
1.

Automation Architecture:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automation frameworks using UiPath and UFT technologies to support functional, regression, and integration testing across software applications.

2.

Tool Selection and Integration:
Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools, libraries, and technologies based on project requirements and constraints. Integrate these tools seamlessly into existing CI/CD pipelines and testing environments.
3.

Test Strategy Development:

Collaborate with stakeholders to define comprehensive test strategies and approaches that leverage automation effectively to ensure thorough test coverage and early defect detection.

4.

Test Case Design and Implementation:

Work closely with QA engineers and developers to design, implement, and automate test cases and test scenarios using UiPath and UFT, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards.

5. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, including code integration, build automation, and test execution. Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD process for efficient and reliable testing.

Performance Optimization:
Optimize automation scripts and frameworks for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the automation process to improve overall testing efficiency.

Test Data Management:
Develop strategies and mechanisms for managing test data effectively within automation frameworks. Ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of test data used in automated testing processes.
8.

Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, and test scripts. Generate test reports and metrics to communicate automation progress, test coverage, and defects to stakeholders.
9.

Training and Mentoring:
Provide training and guidance to QA engineers and developers on automation best practices, tools, and techniques. Mentor team members to build expertise in automation testing and contribute to overall team growth.
10.

Stay Updated:

Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in automation testing, particularly in UiPath and UFT, and incorporate relevant advancements into automation frameworks and strategies.

11.

Stake holder Management:
Aligning with BSAs, Solution designers, Development and Test Leads to ensure on time delivery with uncompromising quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Total experience as minimum years
  • Proven experience (5 to 7 + years) as an SDET or Automation Architect, with expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks using UiPath and UFT.
  • Strong proficiency in UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, UFT, and other automation tools and technologies.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, testing concepts, and practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Relevant certifications in automation testing (e.g., UiPath RPA Developer, UFT Developer) would be advantageous.
