We are expanding and looking to add a talented and motivated Accountant to our Calgary team.

Job Description

  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements along-with ancillary notes and disclosures and be the first point of contact with auditor/reviewer.
  • Performing AR function, Invoicing, and collection of AR
  • Supervising AP function, posting and paying AP/credit card bills and ensuring bank accounts are adequately funded at all times
  • Completing GST/Sales tax filing for Canada and United States
  • Assisting in preparation of budgets and performing variance analysis
  • Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger including bank accounts, capital assets, depreciation, prepayments, and intercompany accounts
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulatory laws/procedures
  • Ad hoc projects assigned by the senior management

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with GAAP/IFRS & consolidation in large setups
  • University degree in accounting or working towards CPA designation
  • Experienced user of QuickBooks, Expensify, Joiin and/or some ERP.
  • Intermediate to advance level MS office skills, especially Excel, Word, and Power-point
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

To be successful on this role, you should have a solid financial and analytical skills. Be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform well under pressure. Be a change leader who is always ready to take up challenge to improve existing processes.
