Overview

As an Enterprise Integration Developer Intern, you will be responsible for developing integrations between various Ciena's enterprise applications by leveraging Mulesoft and Oracle Integration Cloud platforms. These applications are a hybrid of SaaS and PaaS platforms and are maintained in various AWS and OCI cloud environments. You will also be involved in CICD, automation, periodic maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting. You will get the opportunity to work with the newest technologies, have ownership of your projects, and collaborate with a diverse and talented team of integration experts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrations using Mulesoft and Oracle Integration Cloud platforms, following best practices and standards. Collaboratively work with integration team members to develop reusable services around error handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Major emphasis on automation / integration / troubleshooting / bug fixing with customer focus.
  • Manage relationships through effective communication with key collaborators, service, delivery, and business teams.
  • Keep abreast with industry activity and standards from the enterprise integration perspective.
  • Must be agile and respond to constantly evolving priorities.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proficient in any of major the programming languages: Java, Python, R.
  • Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and SOAP.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Maven, or other CICD tools.
  • Ability to prepare documentation where necessary, including training, process flows, system structure, network deployment architecture etc.
  • Interest in current and emerging Integration technologies.
  • Excellent team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills and technologies.
