Summary

As a Cloud Computing Specialist for the Hardware Infrastructure provisioning team, you would be responsible for the efficiency and automation of hardware resources provisioning supporting the company's cloud computing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Servers & Network Equipment Configuration and Onboarding:

  • Configure servers & network devices according to design specifications and best practices.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of equipment into the production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to equipment configuration with other team's specialists and technicians

Change Management Leadership and Standardization:

  • Lead and oversee change management activities for the production network.
  • Document and maintain change management procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on following standardized job instructions

Support for New Technology Integration:

  • Collaborate with the Network Architect to support the integration of new technologies into the network infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on new technology implementation.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure successful integration.

Automation of Equipment Population:

  • Develop and implement automated processes for populating equipment information into the datacenter inventory tool.
  • Identify and analyze repetitive manual activities within the team's responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with automation experts to develop and implement automation solutions.
  • Continuously strive for zero touch provisioning to enhance operational efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and network infrastructure.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the team's technical expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Science.
  • CCNA or JNCIA-DC certified.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Network equipment provisioning in a Datacenter environment (Cisco & Juniper)
  • 3-4 years of experience in server provisioning in a Datacenter environment (HPe & Dell)
  • Ability to write and edit documentation on technical subjects, and to make language clear, concise and accurate.
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated) to manage multiple accountabilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal players and vendors
  • Embrace change within the same team.
  • Must be autonomous and self-motivated.
