\tSevita International, a leader in the Canadian soybean market, is seeking a Seed Sales and Marketing Assistant to support the seed team with their customer service and advertising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams and report to the Marketing and Strategy Manager.\r
\r
\tThis position will allow for the interaction and communication with technical and professional staff in Inkerman and Woodstock, Ontario, as well as with crop producers, agribusiness representatives, advertising and marketing professionals and provide students will a better understanding of soybeans in Ontario. In this position, you will be a contributing member of the sales and marketing team with meaningful responsibilities. The selected candidate will gain valuable experience and developmental feedback through a paid, full-time summer position. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or marketing and communications.\r

\tPrimary Responsibilities:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tAssisting sales team with sales activities including seed deliveries and returns, field visits, communication with growers and dealers.\r
\t\r
\t\tSupporting the marketing team with field advertising initiatives such as variety specific field signs, demonstration sites, and on-farm plots across Ontario.\r
\t\r
\t\tIncrease Sevita's marketing resources portfolio through photography, videos, and drone footage of soybean plants, fields, and events.\r
\t\r
\t\tUpdate website content with plot data and variety information.\r
\t\r
\t\tHelp organize and coordinate both in-person and virtual events including product launches, dealer meetings, customer appreciation events, and field tours.\r
\t\r
\t\tAttend and assist with meetings, plot tours, promotional events, and trade shows.\r
\t\r
\t\tGeneral administration support to the marketing and sales team.\r
\t\r
\t\tAssisting with marketing communications including grower outreach, social media, email marketing, mailing lists, sales material, and promotional merchandise distribution.\r
\t\r
\t\tOther duties and projects as assigned.\r
\r

\r

\tMinimum Qualifications:
\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tHave a background, interest or be studying agriculture, agricultural business, or business (marketing, sales, communications, or similar)\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to lift and carry a minimum of 25kg\r
\t\r
\t\tHighly motivated with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment\r
\t\r
\t\tHave sound judgment and critical thinking skills\r
\t\r
\t\tLicensed G driver with a clean record and comfortable driving long hours\r
\t\r
\t\tComfortable using computers including Adobe and Microsoft programs\r
\t\r
\t\tOrganized and detail-oriented\r
\t\r
\t\tInterpersonal and customer service skills\r
\t\r
\t\tEnglish/French Bilingual is an asset\r
\t\r
\t\tExperience in agriculture and basic agronomic knowledge is an asset\r
\r

\tSchedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. May be required to work longer hours or weekends during busy times of the season. Some travel within Ontario may be required.\r
