Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of safety by understanding and reporting possible safety issues, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and promoting a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Manage and relocate regular inventory by collecting, transporting, and relocating bins containing chemical compounds to diverse areas as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Perform packaging activities of bins containing chemical inventory following internal packaging processes and directions from the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor.
  • Communicate with Finished Goods, Shipping & Logistics Supervisors, and management to ensure that potentially compromised products are removed and placed in a secured quarantine area for assessment.
Key Qualifications:
  • No minimum education is required, but a College diploma with a background in Chemistry is an asset.
  • Good planning and organizing skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical and Working Conditions:
  • Work in a walk-in freezer and fridge environment, handling chemicals that may be toxic or classified as Dangerous Goods.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator and steel toe cap safety shoes.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or push carts carrying heavy objects for short periods of time and lift and carry objects weighing up to 30kg for short distances.
