Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at our Barrhead location. As an Electrician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities:- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures
- Coordinate with other teams to handle emergency maintenance and repair issues in a timely and effective manner
- Communicate effectively with millwrights, maintenance workers, and supervisors to ensure seamless information transfer
- Provide assistance to other Maintenance and Electrical team members as needed
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis
- Operate in accordance with health and safety practices
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Be available to work extended hours or be called in for emergency/critical workplace situations
- Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations
- Attend work regularly and punctually
- Perform other related duties as required
- Journeyman Electrician or in 4th year of apprenticeship
- Two to three years of electrical, maintenance, or welder experience in a processing environment is an asset
