Job Summary

Morguard is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our residential team at Leaside Towers and Rideau Towers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plumbing Maintenance
    Review and follow blueprints to determine plumbing system layouts and ensure compliance with safety codes. Perform installations and repairs on pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components. Locate, mark, and cut openings in walls/floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and power tools or machines.
  2. Plumbing Inspections
    Perform regular inspections and scheduled maintenance services on plumbing systems and components to ensure they are in good working order and compliant with laws and regulations.
  3. Project Materials and Supplies
    Prepare cost, time, and material estimates for projects, purchase supplies and materials as needed, and submit quotes and invoices to the Office Manager.
  4. Tenant Services
    Perform minor repairs and installations related to non-structural and non-vital systems of the property, including plumbing, light fixture replacement, and touch-up painting.
  5. Construction Projects
    Supervise contractors working on-site and assist with various construction projects, coordinating receipts of quotes from third-party service providers as needed.
Requirements
  • Provincial Trade Certified Plumber
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in related trades
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs
