Job Title: Security Guard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents, while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular security patrols and respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients, staff, and visitors in a friendly and respectful manner.
  • Perform a variety of preventative and reactive duties, including interior and exterior patrols, to ensure the security and safety of our clients and their properties.
  • Provide Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health Act.
  • Provide security escort services to staff and visitors as requested.
  • Provide motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service.
  • Write accurate reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and follow-up on incidents, report writing, door opening requests, and CCTV camera reviews.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
  • Perform all office duties, including ID badge distribution, key distribution, and lost and found services.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard license.
  • First Aid CPR - Level C Certification.
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent/post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • Minimum 1 year security-related experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and By-laws.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
