The sawmill has continued to excel in processing small-diameter timber, adding value and minimizing waste. In 2017, L&M Lumber merged into Nechako Lumber Co. Ltd. While our primary focus is meeting customer needs, our prosperity hinges on our personnel.

The Opportunity - Certified Sawfiler

As a member of our Operations team, the Certified Sawfiler is tasked with maintaining and repairing all on-site sawfiling materials and equipment to optimize safety, uptime, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is a proficient individual who is enthusiastic about their chosen vocation. Apart from addressing sawfiling issues, you are inventive in sawfiling techniques and can adapt swiftly to evolving demands. Prioritizing safety, you will also contribute to a secure and respectful work atmosphere.

• Qualifications:
• Journeyman (Red Seal) Sawfiler certification
• Proven dedication to safety
• Extensive background in heavy industry and/or construction
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities
• Positive interpersonal and communication competencies
• Capability to work independently and in a team setting
• High energy and proactive mindset
