**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to social workers, ensuring quality and timeliness of work
  • Coordinate performance appraisals and make recommendations for staff selection
  • Maintain an administrative overview of the team, identifying systems issues and making recommendations to the Manager
  • Provide professional psycho-social assessment and intervention in complex situations

**Requirements:**

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
  • Two years of experience in social work practice in a medical setting
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Experienced in medical terminology

**Competencies:**

  • Advanced crisis management skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Advanced research skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Basic supervisory skills
  • Advanced organizational skills

**Knowledge and Abilities:**

  • Knowledge in education and program development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Knowledge in the SHA, community resources, and applicable programming
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced work environment with complex cases
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change
  • Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
