The Site Quality Assurance Specialist will be part of a team consisting of Site Manager, Supervisors, administrators, Quality Assurance specialists, and Health-Safety-Environment officer. The role involves a mix of working in the site office and directly on the site to ensure work is performed as expected.

The key responsibilities of the Site Quality Assurance Specialist include:

  • Implementing and maintaining the ANDRITZ Quality Assurance System on site
  • Ensuring quality requirements are followed at site according to Installation Manuals
  • Local contact with customer and authorities for all quality matters
  • Inspections follow-up according to Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
  • Reception of material at site with inventory database and tracking system
  • Performing and/or witnessing inspections in coordination with customer and site team
  • Initiating and following-up on non-conformities
  • Collecting quality records and elaborating final quality documentation
  • Collaborating with Installation Supervisors to ensure work is performed in compliance with Installation Manuals requirements
  • Contributing to overall quality and excellence in execution of Engineered Machinery projects

ANDRITZ Hydro Canada is looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual with a strong background in quality assurance and a passion for delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • One to three years of experience in quality assurance or a related field
  • Passion for quality and integrity
  • General knowledge on mechanical measurement devices
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD an asset
  • Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment, an asset
  • On-site Safety training an asset
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and rigorous
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule
