We are seeking a creative and motivated Senior Interface Designer . At The Coalition you will work on AAA console titles with a team of highly experienced artists who are passionate about playing games, making games, and creating their best work.

Responsibilities
  • Prototype interface designs, menu systems and style boards including Icon Design, Motion Design and Interaction Architecture.
  • Ability to take direction from a Lead Designer and be very versatile on researching and executing on different style types.
  • Self-starter who works well with a team in an open environment.
  • Positive attitude, who can bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Open to receiving constructive feedback and the ability to address and adapt to the feedback.
  • Act as a problem solver as User Interface challenges arise, with thorough attention to detail.
  • Work to stay up to date on new industry trends.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 4+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years working in the game industry specializing in Interface design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • High level graphic design skills working with layout and typography.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both artists and programmers.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Working knowledge of Figma.
Art IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
