We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Nursing Scheduling Clerk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for daily and weekly staffing replacements, maintaining scheduling and attendance records, and providing support to Nursing Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Managers and Nursing Coordinators to ensure accurate and efficient staffing replacements
  • Maintain scheduling and attendance records for over 600 employees in the Nursing Department
  • Provide support to Nursing Services by answering enquiries and interpreting Collective Agreement provisions
  • Promote good public relations between the Nursing Department, Nursing Units, and other Centre Departments

Requirements:

  • Experience in personal computers, ESP, and word processing software
  • Experience in drafting correspondence, processing mail, and receiving and directing callers
  • Successful completion of secondary school education and formal educational program related to secretarial skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and support of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's vision, values, goals, and objectives
  • Knowledge of collective Agreements and Agency contracts
  • Knowledge of computer scheduling programs and general office practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively, set priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to handle pressure situations and meet varied and unexpected demands

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to work extended hours
  • May involve exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, etc.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated patients/residents/staff/visitors
