Job Summary: Cashier at Walmart Canada Working as a Cashier at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Cashier provides exemplary customer service during the checkout process to drive customer loyalty. Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives.
  • Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed, including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
  • Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling and adherence to company policies.
  • Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
Compensation: The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.55. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience. Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
