Meat Stocker Job Description

A Meat Stocker is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to company standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Zoning the department to ensure efficient product placement and customer flow.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, and product rotation.
  • Providing excellent customer service by taking orders, slicing and preparing merchandise, and answering customer questions.
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils.
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
