We require an Occupational Health Nurse who is able to work on site, has strong WCB disability management skills and is able to work within the wholesale food business.

Role Description

This is a full-time Independent Contractor role located in Delta, BC for an Occupational Health Nurse. The successful applicant may choose to work as an independent contractor or in a salaried capacity. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for coordinating and providing occupational health services to employees, conducting health assessments and screenings, and developing and implementing programs to promote employee health and safety. The Occupational Health Nurse will also provide guidance and support to employees on health and wellness issues and ensure compliance with relevant worksafe regulations.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) and/or License Practical Nurse and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, or working towards certification is an asset
  • Disability Management and working with WCB a must
  • Experience in occupational health and safety, disease management, and health promotion
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in using computers and related software applications
