About the Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires a caring and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care. As a Health Care Aide, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide personal care, support, and advocacy to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Support residents with their physical and emotional needs, including providing emotional support and advocacy
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institution
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Working Conditions
  • May involve physical activities such as standing, transferring, and transporting residents and equipment
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals
  • May encounter exposure to disease, radiation, toxic material, noise, allergens, blood, feces, body fluids, etc.
  • Requires shift work, extended working hours
