Falcon Contracting Ltd. and Falcon Camp Services Inc. are a locally owned and operated group of companies based in Prince George, BC. We are a diverse organization specializing in civil construction and turn-key camp catering.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Domestic Pipe Layer to join our team at the Prince George, BC head office.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Installing underground utilities to designed grades and construction standards including storm, water, and sewer mains + services.
  • Laying out pipe routes as per instructions, blueprints, and supervisor guidance.
  • Pre-locating existing utilities and coordinating with heavy equipment for safe exposure.
  • Locating and repairing existing utilities when necessary.
  • Excavating trenches manually or with trenching tools to required depths.
  • Leveling trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.
  • Performing housekeeping tasks and other assigned duties.
  • Ensuring proper bedding of all installed materials.
  • Reporting installation conflicts promptly to the supervisor.
  • Readiness to assist in other tasks with hands-on involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in reading plans and using laser levels.
  • Experience with packers, hand tools, and equipment operation.
  • Consideration given for equipment operating experience.
  • Required certifications: Construction Safety Training System (CSTS2020), Ground disturbance level 2, confined space certification.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication.
  • Willingness to work away from the local area.
