Your role

As 360 Marketing Strategist for the News/Regions/Audio hub, your role will be to recommend, develop and co-ordinate 360° (multichannel) marketing strategies for your assigned projects and campaigns with a focus on enhancing awareness and engagement toward our brands, platforms and content while building audience loyalty throughout the Radio-Canada ecosystem. You will be in charge of deploying marketing and impact advertising actions, tracking their effectiveness and proposing adjustments based on consumer analysis and data.

You will be expected to provide positive leadership in working with other teams or departments so that impact projects can be delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend, develop and co-ordinate 360 marketing strategies and high-impact offensives for assigned projects by leveraging brands, products and content from the News/Regions/Audio hub.
  • Ensure that strategies and projects are aligned with Marketing & Communications objectives.
  • Recommend, develop, plan and implement all the development stages for assigned 360 multichannel initiatives, projects and campaigns (external advertising, ecosystem, social media), from the planning phase through to execution and analysis.
  • Draft clear strategic marketing briefs, ensuring they are properly understood by all parties.
  • Do follow-up.
  • Work with various departments to deliver effective, creative projects and strategies that achieve our marketing objectives.
  • Work with our media buying agency and in-house digital planners to review and improve on outside media proposals, ensuring that plans are aligned with our objectives and consistent with existing user journeys.
  • Develop effective promo strategies on the Corporation's various platforms and design impactful strategies on our TV networks and digital platforms in order to achieve target audience objectives.
  • Produce or commission marketing material required for our digital channels (including social media).
  • Advise and work with management to determine the necessary human, financial and technical resources. Optimize the return on investment; monitor and report on campaign spending and financial performance.
  • Analyze market data and campaign performance in co-operation with the Research and Digital Marketing teams, adjust marketing actions in line with results to achieve objectives and make data-driven decisions to improve marketing strategies.
  • Advise and support your division and program teams in developing the hub's strategic orientations.
  • Help set team members' objectives and evaluate their performance.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or the equivalent in a related field
  • Five (5) or more years' relevant experience in a similar or related position

Skills:

  • Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proven experience in communications consulting
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively and positively with all levels of staff and management
  • Innovativeness and creativity; ability to devise new approaches to content treatment as well as promotional strategy and tactic development
  • Excellent organizational skills, thoroughness, tact and team focus
  • Strong ability to manage multiple large projects concurrently and to handle stress
  • Synthesis skills and excellent written command of French
  • Knowledge of English an asset
  • Knowledge of Radio-Canada radio and audio programming an asset
  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive)
