As a Security Guard with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine patrols of the property to monitor activities and ensure the security of designated areas.
  • Controlling access to the premises by checking identification, credentials, and authorizations of individuals entering the facility.
  • Monitoring surveillance equipment and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Responding promptly to alarms and incidents and providing the necessary assistance.
  • Maintaining detailed reports of daily activities, irregularities, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations by staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Collaborating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of working experience in the security industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Proven ability to stand or walk for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
