Summary: Labourer 2 required for manual work in water operations, maintenance, and construction division, performing tasks such as pipe installation, leak repair, and water system maintenance.

About the Job

The Labourer 2 performs manual work of varying complexity, requiring physical effort and agility, in the installation, repair, and servicing of waterworks systems.

  • Locates and repairs leaks
  • Installs taps from 19mm to 450mm
  • Performs pipe installation
  • Maintains and constructs water systems

The incumbent must have up to high school graduation and experience in general construction and maintenance work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Knowledge of safety equipment and practices
  • Understanding of water distribution system functions
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled manual tasks
  • Use of hand and power tools

The Labourer 2 must possess sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
