Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Safety Specialist to optimize processes and workflows
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Update Safety Data Sheet inventory and Work Instructions
- Liaise with different teams to update safety project status
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Working towards a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or other safety-related education
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead multiple tasks
- Well-developed organization and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making & problem-solving skills
- Understanding and following workplace health and safety rules and regulations
Working indoors in an office environment (60%) with exposure to a plant and yard environment (40%). Frequent communication with plant HSE Specialists, with occasional communication with operational department managers and plant personnel.
The plant environment consists of loud noises, odors, dust, and exposure to moving equipment. PPE (hi-vis vest, safety boots, hearing protection, safety glasses) is required.
