About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with medical professionals and other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and planning resident care, implementing and evaluating treatment plans, and documenting resident progress.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to health services staff, promoting a culture of quality and excellence in care.
  • Working with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident safety and well-being.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
About You

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will bring:

  • Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification, preferred.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment, an asset.
