Job Description

Job Title: Senior Land Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Land Surveyor to join our team at Ontario Transit Group. As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading our survey team and overseeing the execution of survey projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors and survey assistants
  • Oversee the execution of survey projects, including data collection and analysis
  • Prepare and review survey reports and as-built drawings
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in land surveying
  • Experience in management and leading survey teams is an asset
  • Deep understanding of civil works construction and methods
  • Highly skilled in personal communication and relationships with other departments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office environment
  • Knowledge of Design software such as Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of Point Cloud software
  • Be highly skilled in using varied survey equipment such as Laser Scans, Total Stations, GNSS receivers, and Digital Levels
  • Professional designation such as Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is preferred
